Immigration Policy and other Critical Topics will be Addressed
The CoWest Noticias Collaborative (CWNC) invites you to the first edition of its speaker series with Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser. Before his time as Attorney General, Weiser was the dean of the University of Colorado Law School. He also served as a law clerk to U.S. Supreme Court Justices Byron R. White and Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and held senior positions in the U.S. Department of Justice in the Clinton and Obama administrations.
Recent changes in immigration policy, state and national funding cuts and current political decisions affecting our region will be addressed, with a panel discussion and Q&A to follow on Thursday, June 26, 4:30 to 6:30pm at CMC’s Morgridge Commons, located upstairs in the Glenwood Springs Library. The event is free and includes simultaneous Spanish translation.
Members of CoWest Noticias Collaborative include the Sopris Sun, Sol del Valle, Aspen Times, Post Independent, Aspen Daily News, KDNK, Aspen Public Radio and Radio TriColor. Spanish news Collaborative members will form a panel for further discussion and questions and answers following Attorney General Weiser’s talk.
